- 1 cup Dr Pepper
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water
- Black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Slice the beef into uniform bite-sized pieces. Chop onions and mince garlic.
- In a bowl, whisk together Dr Pepper, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, and minced garlic.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the beef pieces until browned on all sides (about 3 minutes).
- Transfer seared steak and chopped onions to a crockpot. Pour the sauce mixture over everything and stir gently.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until tender.
- About 30 minutes before serving, mix cornstarch with water and stir into the pot to thicken the sauce.
