  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 3 large eggs (room temperature)
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Nutella

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch round baking pans.
  2. In a bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk eggs, oil, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Combine with dry ingredients without overmixing.
  4. Gently fold in half of the Nutella for swirls.
  5. Pour batter into prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Cool cakes in pans for 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks. Layer cakes with remaining Nutella and decorate as desired.
