  • 9 no-boil lasagna noodles
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 8 oz thick-cut bacon
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 15 oz ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tsp dried Italian herbs (oregano and basil)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a large baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook bacon until crispy. Drain and crumble into pieces.
  3. In the same skillet, brown ground beef; add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
  4. Mix ricotta cheese with half of the Parmesan, Italian herbs, salt, and pepper in a bowl until smooth.
  5. Begin layering: spread marinara sauce on the bottom of the dish, then add noodles, half the beef mixture, crumbled bacon, half the cheese mixture, more marinara sauce, and mozzarella. Repeat layers until ingredients are used.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes; remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden brown. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
