  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1/2 lb sausage (spicy or mild)
  • 1 cup thick-cut pepperoni slices
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped (any color)
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until no longer pink; drain excess fat.
  3. Add chopped onion and bell pepper; sauté until tender.
  4. Crumble in the sausage and sprinkle with Italian seasoning; cook until well combined.
  5. Roll out the pie crust in a greased pie dish; layer the filling evenly inside.
  6. Top with pepperoni and cheeses.
  7. Cover with another pie crust, seal edges, and cut slits in the top for steam to escape.
  8. Brush with egg wash and bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.
