  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for icing)
  • 2 tbsp milk (for icing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.

  3. In another bowl, cream the butter with sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well.
  4. Gradually combine the dry ingredients with the wet mixture until just blended.
  5. Spread half the batter in the prepared pan. Sprinkle with extra cinnamon and sugar, then dollop remaining batter on top and swirl gently.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown; cool before icing.
  7. Whisk powdered sugar and milk until smooth; drizzle over cooled bars.
