  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tbsp espresso powder
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil or melted butter
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the bananas until smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, espresso powder, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Beat the eggs into the banana mixture, then mix in sugars and oil/butter until well combined.
  5. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined; avoid overmixing.
