  • 1 tsp baking powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the butter and semi-sweet chocolate together in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together granulated sugar and brown sugar; then mix in the melted chocolate mixture until combined.
  4. Beat in eggs one at a time along with vanilla extract until glossy.
  5. Sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in another bowl, then gradually fold into the wet mixture.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips evenly throughout the dough.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets about two inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are set but centers are soft; let cool on baking sheets for five minutes before transferring to wire racks.
