Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm water and sugar; sprinkle instant yeast on top and let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. In another bowl, mix flour and salt, then create a well in the center. Pour in the yeast mixture and olive oil; stir until it forms a shaggy dough.
  3. Knead on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place dough in an oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm spot for 30-60 minutes until doubled in size.
  4. Punch down the dough, divide into equal portions, and roll each into circles about 1/4 inch thick.
  5. Brush with olive oil and sprinkle with minced garlic. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Cook flatbreads one at a time in the air fryer basket for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
