Ingredients

  • Lasagna noodles (no-boil or regular)
  • Ground beef or chicken
  • Cajun seasoning
  • Ricotta cheese
  • Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Canned crushed tomatoes

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a large baking dish.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground meat with chopped onions and bell peppers. Drain excess fat, stir in crushed tomatoes and Cajun seasoning; simmer for 15 minutes.
  3. Mix ricotta cheese with half of the shredded mozzarella and Parmesan in a bowl until combined.
  4. Layer the baking dish: spread meat sauce on the bottom, add lasagna noodles, half of the cheese mixture, more meat sauce, and repeat until all ingredients are used.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes; remove foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until bubbly.
